Opis:  U gradu mrtvih, davno uništenim i daleko od ljudske civilizacije, živi jedno ljudsko dijete. Zove se Will i odgajaju ga tri nemrtva: srčani kosturski ratnik, Blood; ljupka mumificirana svećenica, Mary; i nastrani spektralni čarobnjak, Gus. Njih troje ulijevaju ljubav u dječaka i uče ga svemu što znaju. No, jednog dana, Will se počne pitati: "Tko sam ja?" Will mora razotkriti misterije ove daleke mrtve zemlje i otkriti tajnu prošlost nemrtvih. Mora naučiti ljubav i milosrđe dobrih bogova, te netrpeljivost i ludilo loših. A kad sve zna, dječak će napraviti prvi korak na putu da postane paladin.
